Why Amy Cooper Called the Cops

American Culture, Black Culture, News / Tuesday, May 26th, 2020

I’m not actually here to explain why Amy Cooper called the cops on Christian Cooper (no relation) because we all know why. Amy is simply a product of her White-American environment, having a very real understanding that her fuckery would be protected by an entity that has every interest in preserving her wellness while having no regard for that of the citizen with whom she’d found herself in disagreement with. Now, is it Amy’s fault that this is the reality in America? Nah, she didn’t own any slave ships nor did she write any of the systematically racist policies that have ensured her privilege. I don’t blame Amy for the world we live in. Nah. I blame Amy and all those like her who tap into the reality that police over police the bodies of Black and brown people. I blame those who keep this spade up their sleeves only to pull it out when it’s beneficial to them, all while throwing away all truth, and all decency, and all regard for those already at risk bodies. So no, I’m not here to talk about what we already know. I really just want to point out a few things about a few things.

  • Amy Cooper made an attempt on the life of a black man when she skillfully pulled out her crescendo’d voice and distressed cadence while proclaiming to the 911 dispatcher that she was “being threatened and filmed by an African American man.” A man who was doing probably the most innocent activity any human being can do. This black man was bird watching. I didn’t even know Black people sat around watching birds like that! What a wholesome young man. Whew chile, too bad those N95 masks can’t filter lies.
  • Officer Derek Chauvin, and his band of brutalizers, attempted and took the life of a black man when Derek decided that an already handcuffed and cooperative suspect needed to be further restrained with the full weight of a grown man on his neck.
  • Derek doesn’t want you to think of him as a murder. But that doesn’t matter, because, well, he is a murder. We don’t even have to spend anymore time on this point.
  • Amy Cooper’s dog needs a new owner who won’t drag him around, front paws completely off the ground, by a collar. Somebody call SPCA or PETA, stat!
  • Tou Thao, Derek’s fellow officer who made it his job to stand guard while his peer killed a man in the street, is an accessory, having every opportunity and all the power needed to stop said killing, but instead stood watching, holding up the blue stained banner.
  • I’m pretty sure the government was listening to a call I was having about race relations in Dallas today and decided to cut my mic so that I’d become voiceless (a stretch, but you never know in 2020).
  • As stated in my previous email, Amy Cooper ain’t shit. And yes, she was fired by Franklin Templeton, but I’m pretty sure her parents will bridge her and she’ll have another six-figure job in no time.
  • Per our earlier discussion, the Minneapolis police, Derek Chavin, Tou Thao and them other two hoe-ass boys ain’t shit. And yes, they were fired, but I’m pretty sure they’ll have their careers restarted in another city in no time where they’ll have a fresh set of colorful strangers to terrorize.
  • Jeff Bezos is about to be a trillionaire and I’m over here helping him get there. Somebody log me off and help me carry in my 67th, certainly COVID filled, quarantine package.

That’s all. Night.
